In 2003 she established her own business, Statistical Training & Consulting, based in Singapore. Since then she's been doing statistical training and consulting world-wide for International Rectifier (California, Italy, Wales, Arizona and the Philippines), Wafer Works (Taiwan) and in Singapore for Chartered Semiconductor, Tech Semiconductor, Hewlett Packard, Maxtor and SAS Institute. Before joining industry, she was a professor at the University of Texas and at the National University of Mexico (UNAM) for a decade and a half. |

Education - Dr.
Czitrom obtained a PhD in mathematics with concentration in statistics
from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as a BA
in physics and an MS in engineering from the University of California
at Berkeley. |

Publications - Dr.
Czitrom published the book Statistical
Case Studies for Industrial Process Improvement. which
provides 24 industrial applications of statistics on the topics
of Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC),
Gauge Studies (R&R), Reliability and Passive Data Collection
(Process Characterization). She has also published four engineering
text books, as well as statistical papers in refereed journals
and chapters in books. |

Honours - She
was elected Fellow of the American
Statistical Association and
received the National Outstanding Technical Achievement Award
from Hispanic
Engineer. She
is a Senior Member of the American
Society for Quality. She was promoted to Distinguished
Member of Technical Staff at Bell Labs Lucent Technologies
and received several awards for establishing a mentorship
program and for leadership in the woman’s group and
other diversity initiatives. She was a physics honor student
at the University of California at Berkeley. |

Service
to the Profession -
She was elected Chair of the Quality
and Productivity section of
the American
Statistical Association, organized a Quality
and Productivity Research Conference, and established the Mary
G. Natrella scholarship award. She has refereed papers
for technical journals and been on the editorial board of Journal
of Quality Technology, Quality Engineering and The
American Statistician. |

Personal - Veronica
was born and raised in Mexico City, studied and lived for over
two decades in the United States, and moved to Singapore in 2001
where she now lives and works as a Permanent Resident. Her interests
include travel (especially in Asia), oriental art and culture,
and reading and writing. She wrote and published an award-winning
300-page bilingual (English-Spanish) family history book, Carolyn
and Laszlo:What a Life!, in collaboration
with her brothers and daughter. She is proficient in English,
Spanish and French. She has two children and one grandson.
