Practical statistical approach tailored to semiconductor industry

Training: DOE, Problem Solving,Tool Matching, JMP, Six Sigma

In today's high-technology industry, effective use of resources is a competitive necessity. Statistical methods provide a systematic approach for efficient process characterization and improvement, allowing for data-driven engineering decisions.

Dr. Veronica Czitrom provides statistical training and consulting in industry world-wide, both for manufacturing and for research and development groups. Her practical approach to statistics is targeted towards engineers working in industry, in particular the semiconductor and related industries.

The training addresses issues relevant to engineers, such as process optimization using designed experiments (DOE), understanding current process behavior (tool matching, sampling and problem solving), and the use of the JMP statistical data analysis software for exploratory data analysis. The training incorporates JMP to allow engineers to immediately begin using the methodologies with their own data.

For engineers working in industry, one of the strengths of the training is its emphasis on graphical data analysis, which makes the results easy to understand. The training covers only the essential statistical topics that are needed to apply the methodology, with statistical concepts introduced on an as-needed basis. The material provides the statistical content of Six Sigma training.
